Zendesk help Gather Using Gather for community forums Setting up Zendesk Gather Configuring Gather community settings Sophie McMonagle Edited February 01, 2021 08:29 You can set specific community settings in Gather settings. You must be a Guide Manager to work with these features. In Guide, click the Settings () icon in the sidebar, then select Gather settings. You can enable or disable community-wide features from this page: To activate or deactivate a community, see Disabling your Help Center community. To enable or disable aliases, see Enabling community aliases. Return to top Have more questions? Thanks! Sophie McMonagle November 20, 2019 13:41 Hi Jessica Hoffman, yes absolutely! If you follow the community topic, you will get a notification on posts (and comments, if you specify it). You can do this even if you are not an admin. Click the Follow button at the top of the community topic. Check out the instructions on following content: https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/203664386-Help-Center-guide-for-end-users#topic_ysq_y5c_lk Jessica Hoffman November 20, 2019 14:00 Got it! Thank you so much! Ryan Bloore July 23, 2020 09:13 Hi Sophie, Is there a way to make the button only visible to users who are in a particular user segment? Thanks! Nicole Saunders July 23, 2020 16:26 Zendesk Community Team Hi Ryan - There is not a setting to control the button. Some users have hidden it using some custom JS code, though I'm not sure whether they've been able to control it at the individual user level. You could post that question to the Guide Q&A topic in the community. There are a number of users who are theme customization experts there who will often help you figure out custom code for this sort of thing.
