Issue symptoms

When I delete a group, I see this error: Group not updated. This is the default group for one or more agents and cannot be deleted. Select a new default group for the affected agents, then try deleting this group again.

Resolution steps

To resolve this behavior:

  1. In Admin Center > People > Team members > Click each of your team member's names associated with that group > in the top right corner, click Manage in Support, which will open the Support profile
  2. From the left-hand side, click any group name

  3. From Default group, select a different group > Close

  4. Return to your main group settings and delete it
