Add the ability to add a link to the Web Widget

Description/Example/Use Cases/Proof of End-Users Requesting:

Use Case:

There are so many use cases for adding a link to the web widget. 

One of ours is to have a link to save our contact information for later use.

It's puzzling how such a basic function does not exists in a such an advanced platform.
Hyperlinks are used everywhere, even in applications that don't really need such feature.

Using a URL in Chat looks messy and "smudges" all over the message that needs to be communicated.

In our business, we need to guide our customers to pages on our website and in some cases to external websites.

Having a URL with random words and symbols is simply NOT how we should be providing Customer Service.

I would like to think that Zendesk will work on this feature in the near future. I know for a fact that this limitation has sent colleagues to alternative platforms.

We just switched from Web Widget (Classic) to the new Messaging and discovered that there is no way to directly link to open the widget like there was in the classic one. Very strange.

Hello everyone! Thank you for your patience and for sharing your invaluable feedback. We apologize for the delay on our end in providing you with a response to your feature request.

We fully understand your request. However, due to the security concerns, we decided not to move this functionality from Classic to Messaging (eg. such a link can be taken by a third party which may result in spam, etc.). That said, you can still implement it by linking to a blank page on the website with the Web Widget embedded within it and opening it in a new window.
