Hey Hellena,

Could you please provide us with your Zendesk subdomain so we can confirm which account you're asking about? If you're not sure what your subdomain is, have a look at the URL you use to access Zendesk. For example, in companyname.zendesk.com, 'companyname' is the subdomain. You can also use our login reminder tool -- just enter your email and you'll be emailed your Zendesk address.

If you are not a current Zendesk customer, you might be trying to reach someone who uses our software to provide support. We make software that companies use to give their customers a way to contact them for support, but we don't actually provide support for their product.

Once we receive your reply, one of our agents will be happy to look into your request as soon as possible.

We are experiencing the same issue. Was there any progress made to resolve it? We are on the Cloud version of JIRA.

Hi Gregory,

Are you the one setting up the Jira integration or is it an Admin in your account? As outlined in the Installation requirements, you must have administrator permissions in both Jira and Zendesk Support to set up the integration.

Additionally, you must meet the following requirements:
  • Be a member of the jira-administrators and jira-software-users groups
  • Have no permission schemes that prevent you from creating or updating projects
  • The reporter field is on the Create Issue screen for the respective projects
  • Use the Jira Internal Directory as your user directory
  • Atlassian add-ons have permission to access your Jira projects. This is enabled by default. To verify this, check the Project Permissions page for each project in Jira. The various project actions should have a Project Role called Project Role (atlassian-addons-project-access)
  • Third-party cookies are enabled. However, if third-party cookies need to remain disabled on your system, add jiraplugin.zendesk.com to the list of content exceptions

If the above requirements are met, you may advise your Zendesk Admin to raise a ticket with us directly and we'll be glad to check further! See Contacting Zendesk Customer Support. Thank you!

The integration has been in place and configured for a while now. I just wanted to check it out, but couldn't open it - getting the same error as above. I've contacted Atlassian tech support as well, but they couldn't find anything in the Cloud log files to indicate what could be the problem. I'd appreciate if someone could assist with this issue.

Hi Gregory, as Christine mentioned, you'll need to be ad Admin in both Zendesk and JIRA in order to see the integration configuration. It doesn't look like you have those permissions on the Zendesk side at least, so you'll need to talk to one of your Zendesk admins (who is also a JIRA admin on your side). We're not able to grant you those permissions ourselves.
