How can I set up multiple mobile SDK?

Posted Jul 29, 2022

I have created Brand 2 and while adding mobile SDK for this zendesk doesn't gives me option to select brand and is taking brand1 as default.

How can I set up different mobile SDK for multiple brands?

Hey Jasmeet,

You need to handle this in the initialization block of the sdk. You can find links to the relevant documentation here.

Hope this helps!

Hi Eric,

In order to configure mutliple brands, I have successfully added a new brand, but how can I create mobile SDK under this new brand ?

Whenever I create new SDK ,it still point to default brand url.

Please assist here.

Hi Shailender! The answer is in the link that Eric provided, as it provides the path for both Android and iOS. The short answer is that you need to initialize the SDK with the subdomain of the brand that you want to use in that app. So the url would be secondbrand.zendesk.com in your init code.

Hi Greg Katechis, the link is for the Classic SDKs.  We're using the Messaging SDKs and I don't see a way to include a brand URL during initialization.  Are multiple brands supported in the Messaging SDKs?

Thank you!

Hey Abe,

Unfortunately at this time multiple brands isn't supported for the new messaging sdks.

Sorry for the inconvenience,

Thanks for getting back to me Eric Nelson.  We are looking for a way to use multiple answer bots in our app as we want to start with different flows depending on circumstance.  Making multiple brands was just a workaround we wanted to try for this.  Is there any better way you know of to have multiple answer bots?
