Announcing Sandbox Configuration Management EAP!

We are excited to present a new EAP to our Zendesk Customers, Sandbox Configuration Management. 

 

Sandbox Configuration Management is designed to streamline the management of configuration settings across your different Zendesk environments, specifically focusing on the sandbox and production setups. This initiative aims to mitigate the challenges associated with managing configurations by providing a unified approach to inspect, compare, and deploy changes between these environments.

 

Key features of this product EAP include the following:

1. Inspecting Your Configuration (Available: 17 January)

2. Saving a Version of Your Configuration (Available: February)

3. Comparing Versions (Available: May)

4. Deploying a Version (Available: July)

As the new features roll out, are they added to existing sandboxes or do we need to spin up new ones?

Hi mfg 

Technically there are no Configuration Management features that "belong" to a sandbox. Configuration Management is a set of features that are available in a Production account that allows an Admin to Inspect, Save, Compare, and (later this year) Deploy configuration across Production and any Sandboxes associated with that Production account. 

And Configuration Management features are automatically available to everyone in the EAP as we roll them out.
