How can I enable exports?

Answer

To protect the data in your Zendesk exports are not automatically enabled. To have this feature enabled, the account owner must contact Zendesk Customer Support to activate it.

Note: The ability to export data is limited to admins and agents with appropriate permissions.

  • Enterprise Plans: Admins can specifically control the ability to export CSV files via a granular CSV Export permission in custom roles. If a user has general export access but lacks the specific CSV permission, they will be unable to generate CSV files.
  • Standard Roles: The Contributor role does not have permission to export views as CSV files. To allow export access for these users, they must be assigned to a role with export privileges, such as a Light Agent or a custom role.
