Agent/Visitor Chat message colours in Agent Interface
Posted Dec 20, 2021
It would be extremely handy to have different colours for the agent vs the visitor when using Messaging/Live Chat in the Agent Interface.
That would help our agents to be able to distinguish quickly when there's a message they've written vs a response from the visitor.
Or possibly even align the messages left/right like in the interface the visitor sees (colour is still preferable though).

Hello! Apologies that this post did not get a response until now.
We are currently exploring how we can redesign the interface and we are taking assigning background colors to agent replies and end-user replies into account. We will be sharing more soon!
How do you feel the background colors will impact screen brightness or resolution? Do you have a preference on which colors you would like to see?
Thanks for providing feedback.

+1 in our case, Agents should be able to set which colors they want it to be (a little bit of Agent customization goes a long way). Not only for customization opportunity but a lot of our agents use dark mode so the colors might interfere with that so if they can set the color themselves, then it may help them

Thanks, Sydney Neubauer for providing additional context. Would you like to customize the contrast ratios of the background colors or would you like to select the colors for agent messages vs customer messages?

Amisha Sharma we are always opting for more options rather than limits. I think if it is possible, having that flexibility would be much welcome
