Allow updating existing ticket field values and tags without the need to first remove related form condition
Posted Jul 19, 2023
Hi all,
Would love the ability to update values and tags for options on existing ticket fields without the need to first remove any form conditions related to that ticket field. If they auto-updated without being removed first, then we don't need to worry about messing with our form while customers or end users could be attempting to utilize the form. Because of this behavior, I can't quickly make these updates, and have to wait until after hours to perform them since they're lengthier than expected. Thanks!

Agreed. At the very least, have an easy way to access the custom fields to make edits that the form page will see right away. As it is, it's difficult to live update a form. I need to undo all the conditions, exposing every field to end-users, then edits the custom fields, then reload my forms page (because it won't see changes unless I do), then redo all my conditions.

Exactly Carmelo. This is such a tedious and unnecessary format for making these changes. This update path makes it so much more difficult and time-consuming, introduces more possibility for mistakes, and interrupts the end-user experience.
We should be able to make live edits on the fly to existing fields that have existing form conditions if I am keeping and using the same fields, but only making changes to the field values. There should be no need for this update path for just making edits to ticket field values.

100% - we clone forms as it has everything we need but then need to remove fields as they aren't needed for the team. We usually make all the changes at once and when you try to save it errors and says you need to remove conditional fields first. The conditional options are held outside the field edit on the form. So you have to back out (sometimes not saving) to clone, SAVE, edit conditional fields, then go back into form to remove fields and HOPE you removed the conditional fields associated with the fields you need to remove

To add to this, why are conditions on a separate page top begin with? Why do I have to click around so much to perform one task? On the forms page, everything related to that form should be easily accessible to me. I hate having to open three tabs to be able to make one change, and then also losing my edits so far because I have to refresh my page so that it sees changes made on another tab.

Hey all. I am still clueless as to how to get to the "conditions.". I've tried everything and every day possible to remove it and keep getting that same error message.

Chloe Castleberry,
It's not obvious... You either have to just know, or happen upon it by chance.
Click the three dots on the right of the form name:

Don't forget to check conditions for both Agents and End Users:

Good Luck!
