Feature Request: Timed end user deletion
Posted Dec 06, 2023
Hello Zendesk Team,
we are using the Timed Ticket Deletion (beta) to delete old Tickets. However, this feature doesn't make much sense in terms of GDPR compliance when personal data of the submitting end user is still kept in a separate database.
Please add a Timed End User Deletion so that all end users who are inactive since x time and / or whose tickets have been permanently deleted are automatically deleted as well. Having the option to 'forget users' is a must have for GDPR...

Hi, is there any plan to be able to use this function?

I am also interested in this feature.
Also I would be interested by automatic user deletion after XX amount of time with no intereaction with support.
Or if the user is tagged as inactive from the our website.

Hey flurfunk , Gicheol Shin (Casey) and Lena Dunan ,
We have this feature planned for release in the second half of 2024. Note that, in line with ticket deletion schedules, there will be a version of user deletion schedules (timed deletion) that'll be available as part of your Zendesk plan license. If you'd require additional segmentation options such as brand, tags, etc., you'd have to add the Advanced Data Privacy and Protection add-on.

Bonjour, cette fonctionnalité est très importante pour nous en termes de conformité RGPD et d'autant plus que nous traitons des données de santé extrêmement sensibles et contrôlées

Hi there! If you're still looking for a solution, consider the GDPR Compliance app, which seamlessly integrates into Zendesk.
It allows you to delete all types of data — users, tickets, organizations, and even attachments. Just create different kinds of lists with needed conditions using standard fields (e.g., created/updated at …), tags, and your custom fields. Then, you can bulk delete data or create automation to do it weekly, monthly, or yearly.
And these are not all of the app's capabilities that help you comply with GDPR standards.
