Smart lists are created by individual Sell users for their own use (see Creating and using smart lists). Smart lists cannot be shared between Sell users; however, an admin user can create smart list templates that can be used by all Sell users.
Using templates is an effective way of standardizing and streamlining the management of your sales pipeline. For example, you might want to create a template for providing better insight into those leads that need to be followed up with.

Creating smart list templates
Admins can create smart list templates in the Settings pages of leads, contacts, and deals. The templates you create are available to all Sell users from the Working Center.
To create a smart list template
- On the sidebar in Sell, click Settings (), then click Customize > Leads, Customize > Contacts, or Customize > Deals.
- Click the Smart List Templates tab.
- Click +New Template.
The working list for leads, contacts, or deals displays.
- Add fields, set field options, and refine the working list as needed.
- Enter a name for the template.
- Click Save template.
Your templates are available to Sell users in the Working Center.
Editing and deleting smart list templates
Admins can edit templates. Changes you make to an existing template do not affect the smart lists that've already been created from them. Changes to a template will only affect newly created smart lists.
To edit a smart list template
- Click Settings (), then click Customize > Leads, Customize > Contacts, or Customize > Deals.
- Click the Smart List Templates tab.
- Click Edit for the template you want to change.
The template displays.
- Make your changes.
- Click Save.
To delete a smart list template
- Click Settings (), then click Customize > Leads, Customize > Contacts, or Customize > Deals.
- Click the Smart List Templates tab.
- Click trashcan () for the template you want to delete.
- Confirm that you want to delete the template.
As with edits, deleting a template has no effect on the smart lists that've been created from it.
Creating a new smart list from a template
Sell users can base a new smart list on a template. All of the templates available to them are shown in the Working Center for leads, contacts, and deals.
To see and create a smart list from the templates available
- Open the Working Center ().
- Click Templates.
- Click a template.
The working list for leads, contacts, or deals displays
- Choose to use the template as is, or you can add fields, set field options, or refine the working list as needed.
- To add the template as a new smart list, click Use template.
