We’re very pleased to announce the release of custom translations for Zendesk AI agents, giving bot building Admins control over the content of bot messages in non-default languages.
What's changing and why?
You can now customize translated messages
Admins can now create custom translation content for AI agents on messaging channels, in any non-default language. For example, let’s say your AI agent’s default language is English, and you have automatic translations enabled in French, and you notice the bot is translating a product name when it shouldn’t be, or using the formal pronoun “vous” when you want the bot to keep it casual and use the informal “tu”. This feature allows you to take the reins, by creating a custom translation for bot messages and override the automatic translation. You can create custom translations for standard response messages, such as greetings, and for messages in custom built answer flows.
Test bot is now multilingual
You can now preview bot conversations in any of your configured bot languages with Test bot prior to publishing. The Test bot preview will include any custom translations added, in addition to automatically translated content.
How will this affect me?
If you automate conversations on messaging channels with AI agents in multiple languages, you can now preview bot conversations in each language prior to publishing, and take control when automatic translations aren’t meeting your standards or brand expectations.
What do I need to do?
There is no action required, however we encourage you to take these new capabilities for a spin, and provide feedback on your experience.
