In this troubleshooting guide, you will find out what to do if values do not show on a chart in Explore. At times, you may see 0 or blank values in your report and can investigate the behavior.

This article contains these topics:

  • Verify if the row selector is hidden
  • Check if your columns are hidden
  • Look into your metric filter
  • Verify that you are not hiding part of the result
  • Check that no filter is applied
  • Verify the Top/Bottom filter
  • Compare with actual data

Verify if the row selector is hidden

Verify your Chart configuration settings > have Display Row Selector turned on. The row selector may be hidden and only show selected values.

Check if your columns are hidden

In Result manipulation > Columns, ensure that all columns are visible.

Look into your metric filter

In Result manipulation > verify your Metric filter, perhaps you hid part of the result. For example, in this image, the number in the left should be 0 instead of 20.

Check that no filter is applied

At the top of the page and on the left side, ensure that you did not add a filter on your data.

Compare with actual data

Finally, if you still see missing values, verify your sources of data. For example, open sample tickets and compare the results with your report.
