Quick Look: Guide admin > Manage articles icon > Needs verification
You can set reminders based on article verification rules to notify you when articles need to be reviewed and verified.
When articles meet the criteria and the interval based on a rule, email notifications are sent, and the articles appear in the Needs Verification article list. These articles are considered unverified, and remain so until someone verifies the articles. You can view a list of all unverified articles in the Needs Verification article list.
You must be a Guide admin or an agent with edit permissions to view the Needs Verification article list.
To view the Needs Verification article list
- In Guide, click the Manage articles (
) icon in the sidebar, then click Needs verification.
A list of all your unverified articles that need to be reviewed and verified appears.

What's the difference between "Needs Verification" and "In Progress"? (and what is each setting on the article waiting for to move it along to publication?)

Hi,
Needs verification means that it has met one of the configured verification rules so someone needs to review the information in the article for accuracy. Need Verification articles have a verification button in the edit view that you click to verify it rather than republishing it. In addition, articles that need verification are still published - they are just "marked" as needing review in the back end.
In Progress means that someone has made some kind of change to the article but those changes have been submitted for review or published. They are what some consider as "drafts." These articles either need to be submitted for review, published, archived or rolled back to the previous published version to be removed from the In progress section.
Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions!
Thanks,
Maggie

Hi
As of January 2021 articles are no longer listed when I open Manage articles. That is existing articles that I have opened and the ones that I have created in January are listed, but that is it. I have tried to filter the list to list articles that were created more than 1 year ago, where I am the owner etc. etc., but it only lists the ones that have been worked on this year (2021).
Due to this we are not able to link to articles using the link functionality.

That is, what we now need to do is select the option View in Help center (or something like that, we use Norwegian) on the article, and then copy the URL, like this

What may be causing this?

Hi,
Are the articles you are trying to link to at a published status? For them to show in that third tab, they do have to be at a published status. Do you also use any other languages in your help center? Is it possible you are searching in one language but the article isn't available in that language?
Thanks,
Maggie

Why are we getting article verification notifications when there are no rules to send these?

Hi Ed Ball,
If your team doesn't have any article verification notification rules set up, then it's probably because the article you own has yet to be verified as per this article.
