Issue symptoms
In Zendesk, I am experiencing one of these issues:
- The conditions of my triggers show an empty Value
- The conditions of my automations return this error: Value no longer exists. Choose another.
I also noticed that these business rules are no longer functioning properly.
Resolution steps
These behaviours happen after the tags of your ticket or user fields have been amended, but your trigger or automation has not been corrected yet.
To resolve this
- Open the related custom user field or ticket field
- Verify that all values and tags are correct
- Open your trigger or automation, and select the new matching value that applies
- Save your changes
Disclaimer: Zendesk does not recommend changing or deleting the Tag of ticket fields, which can lead to reporting issues. In the future, simply rename the Field values or deactivate your fields and recreate new fields.
