Question
Can I export a select group of tickets to a CSV file?
Answer
As long as the tickets are not archived, you can accomplish this by building a view that holds the tickets and exporting them from there. You can then use the Export as CSV option to download the results on the view. For more information, see the section: Exporting a view to a CSV file.
Note: This method will only export the ticket details that appear in the view itself. To export additional ticket details, such as comments, see the article: What are my ticket export options?

Hi Kayla,
You can easily export only necessary tickets to a CSV file with the help of Skyvia. To select a group of tickets you need to create a filter. Once creating an export package, you can set up a schedule to automate this process.

This answer is completely incorrect. Those instructions download what you see in the view, not the contents of the ticket, any of the replies, etc.

Hi CJ,
Well, I wouldn't say that it's completely wrong – after all, it doesn't claim to export full ticket data. But you're right that it only exports what you see in the View – a list of tickets with whatever data you've included in the view columns, and I think we could clarify the limitations. In the meantime, if you want to export the full data of a ticket including comments, you can do that via the Full XML export here (as long as you don't have more than 200,000 ticket): Exporting data to a JSON, CSV, or XML file. Other options include using our API (Tickets and Ticket Comments), and there are some export-related apps in our Apps Marketplace that might serve your needs.
