Sometimes, you might want to save the current version of a dashboard tab or report. Or, you might want to view the data in a different format. You can save individual dashboard tabs or reports to your computer using the Export option.
This article contains the following topics:
Exporting a dashboard tab
When exporting dashboard tabs, you must export them one at a time. It's not possible to export all of a dashboard's tabs at once.
To export a dashboard tab
-
With a dashboard open, click
More > Export.
- In the Export dashboard window, select an export format of CSV, Excel, Image, or PDF. See Choosing an export format for more details about each option.
- Click Export.

Choosing an export format
When you export a report, you can choose between CSV, Excel, Image, or PDF export formats.
The CSV format is a raw data export. All attributes are placed in rows, even if they're placed in columns or explosions in Explore. Metric and date formats aren't carried over. If there are multiple reports exported at the same time, a separate CSV file is generated and compressed into a ZIP file.
The Excel format exports your report as data in rows and columns. Visualizations and chart configurations are not preserved. If multiple reports are exported at the same time (as when you export a dashboard tab), they're placed in different tabs within the same Excel file. Excel exports are limited to 50,000 rows and 16,000 columns.
- Current (Medium quality): Exports the dashboard at its current size. This option is selected by default for manual and scheduled exports. It can be changed for manual exports, but not for scheduled exports.
- Current (Low quality)
- Current (High quality)
-
Custom: Exports a specified portion of the dashboard. When you choose
this, you must specify the export's size:
- Width: How much of the dashboard's width you want to export, measured in pixels
- Height: How much of the dashboard's height you want to export, measured in pixels
- Keep ratio: Whether the width and height should adjust proportionally when you change one of the values
- Desktop (1000x800)
- A4 landscape (1169x827)
- A4 portrait (827x1169)
- iPad landscape (1020x625)
-
iPad portrait (625x1020)

Hi Alberto Gugel, you can schedule a dashboard, but not an individual query. (Although you could always create a dashboard with just one query, if you wanted!) For details, see Scheduling dashboard deliveries.

At this time, the export option are not yet available in the Beta Dashboard Builder. But the team is working on adding more features soon. Hopefully, this will include the options to export tabs and reports from the new dashboard builder.

Unfortunately, this is not yet possible. You might want to check this related community post about this.

For now, this is the only option.

Hello, this article last update was on Dec 10, 2024, a month afther the new dashboard builder migration was announced. However, it turns out that export a single report from the Dashboard is yet not possible, and Drill in Option is not providing accurate data when using it (maybe a bug, but not reliable yet to be used). From Gab Guinto comment dated from 2022 I understand that this is an option the team were working on, do you know if this is actually something we should count with in the near future? We're missing a lot of features and the single export is widely used. Thanks!

We lost the ability to export a report from a dashboard - in the new migrated dashboard. The export option is not showing on the widgets. Will this be updated before all migrated dashboards have to be migrated over?
