Hey!

We have been comparing AVG and MED metrics over time, and usually, the difference is small - a few hours.

However, for the month of December and June, the AVG number is x2, which is rather strange. I wonder the best way to figure out why it is so? I would appreciate your ideas and response!

Hi Natalia,
It could be normal as median and average would vary depending on the number of values. The more data you have, the bigger the difference between the maximum and the minimum would be, it will then inflate the average. That's why in some circumstances the median makes more sense, especially for duration metrics.
I would recommend decomposing the data and checking manually to be sure, and if you need help to double-check your report, don't hesitate to contact our support.

Hi! I have noticed that the daily average of tickets goes for the population of tickets created and not the total of days in the week.

Let's say that we received 1 ticket daily from Monday to Sunday, which is an average of 1 since 7/7 = 1.

But if we did not receive any tickets on Sunday, then I see that it's divided by 6, so 6/6=1, which I believe should be 6/7 = .85.

Are you planning to change this, or do you have different metrics?

Please let me know if I am missing something.
