Hi there!! We are moving to Zendesk Guide and need functionality in Pashto. It's an unsupported language, but the one thing that we need that would make the Pashto functional is for the Pashto templates to default to right to left text direction. Is that something you can implement, or can you suggest an alternative way to customize our guides so that we don't have to insert html text direction in every paragraph on every guide?

Hi Betsy!

We are currently looking into your request, but we would like some clarification in order to help you.

Can you please clarify what you mean by "templates"? Can you confirm that you request is to enable Pashto as an HC locale?

Best regards,

Hello,

We are currently expanding our Help Center with support for our international partners.
We work with Swedish and have now also added English (world).

We have created all our articles in English so that's fine.
But when I now have to start working with dynamic content for, among other things, forms, I see to my horror that English (world) can not be added.
English (US) works fine.
But this means that all articles must be moved from English (World) to English (US).

Is there an easy way to do this or is it copy paste that applies?

Surely there is no English (world) to add in dynamic content?

Hope you understand my dilemma and my question :)

Hello,

We would like to have a Maori language support on Chat widget and Web Widget (Classic).

So that setting locale like this:

<script type="text/javascript">
zE('webWidget', 'setLocale', 'mi-nz');
</script>

we could have all the text on Chat widget and Web Widget (Classic) translated to Maori.

How could we achieve this?

Hi Fredrik,

Thank you for reaching out to Zendesk Support. As of the moment, we don't have any news or updates on when the following language will be added.

But, we highly encourage you to submit a request to our Zendesk Support product feedback page. This will help our devs and managers to see the following request, and if needed the following request will be granted.

Thank you and have a wonderful day ahead!

Kind regards,

I'm having trouble with Spanish (Spain)

If I want to edit the header I have to call the name of the language, but Spanish (Spain) doesn't work & European Spanish doesn't neither...

Zendesk should choose one way of displaying languages in the whole environment, sometimes its the code that is used, sometimes name, sometimes... (es-es)

Any help from someone for that spanish language ? Which name should be used ? (all other languages works fine)

Hi, I’m using react-native-zendesk-chat  to implement Zendesk in react native is it possible to implement language translations for that?

Hi François,

What will happen if you just enter "Español" as a 'name' attribute?
This is what I am seeing as a name for Spanish locale if I run an api call to list all locales: "/api/v2/locales.json"

If you are still stuck with this same question after trying above suggestion - try reaching out to support team, with your code handy.

Hello, I have requested the addition of these languages to be added as options in Guide:

  • English (Kenya)
  • English (Ghana)
  • English (Rwanda)
  • Swahili (Rwanda)

I cannot simply use English (US), English (UK) or English (World) as they do not reflect the markets. Also, our content for each market is different. The reply I received from your Support team is as such: "we were able to determine that currently, what we only support are the languages listed under Help Center - Main languages, Additional help center languages, and Crowdsourced help center languages. That being said, the languages you are requesting to be added to your Help Center may not be possible at the moment."

Frankly the response does not make sense. If we can offer English options for the Americas, European, Asian countries, I don't understand why there are none for the African countries except for one, i.e. South Africa. Additionally, there's not going to be much difference in English (Kenya) vs English (South Africa) or even English (Malaysia).

Can you please help look into this request as this is hindering our work? Thank you.

Hey Karen,

Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback with us. I would recommend cross-posting this in our Feedback - Ticketing System (Support) topic so it gets visibility from our product managers. That topic is actively being monitored for feedback and suggestions by the appropriate product managers :) If you're unsure what to include in your feedback post you can use the following template.

Thanks again!

Hi,

Any chance that English United Kingdom can be added to Zendesk Sell? Purely for the date formats.

We are currently trailing and have the ability to update the currency to British pounds but are unable to update the dates to UK format (DD/MM/YYYY). They are all shown in an American format (MM/DD/YYYY).

Slovenian (Slovenian) appears to have a language code of SL-SI, not SL-SL. Could you check and correct this?

If language used during an email interaction changes mid-interaction. Is the language detected changed or is the language detected contingent on only the first customer created ticket language?

Hi, we would like to clarify when zendesk says “ Unity SDK” does not support Malay, what exactly does that mean and how does it impact our implementation?

Say for example, if a user wrote in in Malay from our mobile SDK, does it mean the agent cannot read the text? Or agent can still read the text but there may not be any translation?

And how does it impact our Help Centre which currently have Malay localisation?

Can you help clarify please?
