This should be easier, like as easy as it is to bulk delete non-closed tickets. You simply click the check box at the top of the view to select 30 at a time, and it's easy to delete in groups of 100. The same functionality should be accessible for closed tickets.

    Hello @...,

We appreciate the feedback and understand how these proposed changes would improve the functionality of your use case. I would recommend sharing this in our product feedback forums so our developers can consider these changes for future updates.

    Best regards.

I agree. The check box on All Closed Tickets should allow you to bulk delete. Very time consuming having to delete individually.

We come across this situation pretty often with our clients where they need to be able to mass delete tickets for various reasons (e.g. spam in suspended tickets, to comply with government rules, etc). We developed this app that could be useful to mass delete tickets. As long as the tickets can be displayed in a ticket view (or is suspended ticket view), this app can delete them.

Why is there no checkbox on views with closed tickets? Now it is for me impossible to delete closed tickets older then x days... Is there another solution for this?

The API method requires you know the ticket ID. I have 700 tickets I need to delete. That's not fathomable. There should be an option to delete all of the tickets based on "this set of text".

Harry Dubois, we have recently updated the mass delete tickets app to include search feature, this will allow us to find closed (and archived) tickets. For example, you can use the search keyword "status:closed status:closed created<2021-12-01" in the app to return closed tickets created before Dec 1, 2021.

This app does not appear to delete closed tickets. The search does not return anything and Zendesk confirms in this thread that it does not include Closed tickets. Am I missing something?

    Hi Anthony Severo

The Bulk Delete app in the thread can only delete suspended tickets. It seems that you are referring to the Mass Delete App mentioned above. Upon checking, this app is no longer available in the marketplace. The best way to bulk delete closed tickets for free is by using our API here

We no longer sell the app via Zendesk Marketplace but the app can still be purchased directly via our website.

Hi everyone, you can use Purge My Zendesk app to permanently delete any types of tickets, users, or organizations in Zendesk Support in bulk and with just a few clicks!

Just to get this straight, when you are at your storage limit, there are no options to easily remove old tickets except for using a complicated API that not many smaller companies will be able to do, or to buy the Advanced Data Privacy and Protection add-on that seems to have that functionality?

So it's either pay for removing tickets, or pay for keeping tickets pretty much. Am I missing something? This sounds like extortion. How is there not a better system in place? Or rather, why is the add-on not included in the service to begin with?
